Biodiesel Lesson at Harbour Pointe Middle School

8 April 2005

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee met with a group of students from Harbour Pointe Middle School in Mukilteo who have been working on a class project on biodiesel. According to the students, biodiesel is slightly more expensive than regular diesel, yet it is healthier for students on the bus to breathe, and better for the environment. The students made a homemade batch of biodiesel and plan to present it to the Mukilteo School Board in hopes of convincing the school board to switch the districts school buses to biodiesel.
