As one of the nation's fastest growing states, Colorado deserves its fair share of federal transportation dollars.  The state's enormous growth in population has created a demand and stress on its highways and byways that will only be met through improving existing infrastructure and building new and expanded roadways.

Congressman Hefley is leading the effort to increase Colorado's share of federal transportation dollars and ensure that the transportation needs of the entire state are addressed.  He is working to secure funds for major construction projects in the three major metropolitan areas of Denver, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, as well as smaller improvement projects in the rural areas of the state.
