Every citizen deserves the opportunity to pursue and achieve the American dream.  Yet, our nation's families and workers are weighed down by an excessive tax burden that is at its highest level since World War II.  In order to secure America's future prosperity, our nation's tax laws must be reformed, and in some cases, repealed.

Congressman Hefley is working to provide significant tax relief to working Americans by supporting efforts to eliminate burdensome tax penalties, such as the marriage tax, the death tax and the working seniors tax.  He has fought to expand education savings accounts and foster new economic growth in poor urban and rural communities.
