Every ten years congressional boundaries change and the 108th Congress began with new district lines on January 1, 2003. The 7th Congressional District, which Congressman George Miller represents, now includes Clayton in Contra Costa County, and Vacaville, Green Valley and Suisun Valley in Solano County. Congressman Miller no longer represents El Cerrito, Kensington, Pleasant Hill, southern Concord in Contra Costa County, or Fairfield and Suisun City in Solano County. All of those communities are now in the 10th Congressional District which is represented by Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher. George Miller’s new district includes the following cities and unincorporated areas: Contra Costa County- Bay Point, Clayton, Concord (north half), Crockett, El Sobrante, Hercules, Martinez, Pinole, Pittsburg, Port Costa, Richmond, Rodeo, and San Pablo. Solano County - Benicia, Green Valley (unincorporated), Suisun Valley, Vacaville, and Vallejo. A map of the district can be viewed here.
