(Ponce, PR.)- Resident Commissioner, Luis Fortuño, celebrated today the inauguration of his Constituent Service Center at Plaza del Caribe in Ponce. The Constituent Service Center is designed to facilitate and offer a better access to the services provided by the office of the Resident Commissioner to the citizens in a fast and efficient way.
The Constituent Service Center is located on the second floor at Plaza del Caribe Mall, in front of the Sears Brandcentral. Their working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m. The center will be located in Ponce from Monday August 21st through Friday August 25th. .
Personnel from the Resident Commissioner’s office will be available to answer questions regarding applications for assistance and also answering questions regarding federal agencies, and inquiries regarding Veterans, Social Security, Medicare, and Immigration.
“Starting this week, we will be visiting different regions of the island to approach our constituents and provide them with our services in their own communities” said Fortuño. Fortuño remembered that last year his office worked with, approximately, 1,000 cases related in their majority to Veterans, Immigration and Social Security issues. “I encourage the citizens of Ponce and the southern area to visit us at Plaza del Caribe and request our assistance and orientation. We will be here to serve you always”, said Fortuño.
