The North Carolina Parenting Education Network: The North Carolina Parenting Education Network (NCPEN) is working to build the field of parenting education in the state with a focus on partnerships between parents and child care providers, teachers, and parent educators.

The Child Welfare League of America: This is the nation's oldest and largest membership-based Child-welfare organization.

National Education Association: NEA hosts a parent's section of their website focused on parents' involvement in their children's education.

FPG Child Development Institute: FPG is one of the nation's oldest multidisciplinary institutes for the study of young children and their families.

Project Enlightenment: Project Enlightenment is an early childhood education and intervention program of the Wake County Public School System. Services are available to Wake County teachers and parents of young children birth through kindergarten age.

United Way's Success by Six: United Way's Success By 6 is a national community-based movement of public and private partners that work together to deliver proven solutions that ensure all children ages zero to six are healthy, nurtured and ready to succeed.

Children's Defense Fund: The mission of the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.

National Child Care Association: This national association serves the private, licensed childhood care and education community.

National Association of Social Workers N.C. Chapter: NASW-NC provides links, articles and resources on social workers.

Reach Out and Read: This program brings books to the early learner through their pediatricians. Pediatricians talk to parents about the importance of reading to their children and each child from age 6 months to 5 years who comes in for a pediatric check-up receives a book to take home.
