Emanuel Office Now Accepting Applications for U.S. Service Academy Nominations

CHICAGO, IL.—U.S. Representative Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) announced today that his office has begun accepting applications for nominations to the U.S. Service Academies for the 2004-05 academic year.

The U.S. Service Academies include:

•                  U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY
•                  U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD
•                  U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO
•                  U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY

High school seniors who are interested in attending the U.S. Service Academies are required to obtain a recommendation from either a U.S. Senator or U.S. Representative.

Emanuel will provide interested students, parents, and counselors information on how to apply to the U.S. Service Academies.  The Academies provide students with unparalleled opportunities to receive a top-notch education and serve America at the same time.
