Call Meghan Whealan at (202) 225-3661 for assistance in visiting Washington. White House Tours White House tours are available on a very limited basis and must be arranged through the office of your Representative. It is helpful if you plan your trip early and contact my office with your ticket request at least FOUR TO SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE, especially during the spring and summer, which are peak vacation months. My staff will do their best to accommodate you and your family. However, due to the high demand for White House tours and increased security precautions, availability is limited. To request a White House tour please fill out this form, and a member of my staff will contact you. Capitol Tours The U.S. Capitol is open six days a week, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Since September 11, 2001, the Capitol has made a series of necessary changes in visitation procedures. We would like to maintain open access to the Capitol, while balancing the requirement to ensure safety and security at all times. The Capitol will be open to the public for tours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please keep in mind that when visiting the Capitol Building, certain items will be prohibited. To schedule a tour of the Capitol please call Meghan Whealan in my office at least seven days in advance at (202)-225-3661. You can also fill out this form. Take a Virtual Tour of the Capitol
