(Washington, DC, May 17, 2005) — Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen is pleased to announce  that the Institute of Museum and Library Services has awarded the St. George Botanical Gardens $10,055 in grant funding.

The sum of $2,325, will be used for the Museum Assessment Program. This program will provide technical assistance that will allow the museum to better assess its strengths and weaknesses and plan for the future.

The sum of $7,730, will be used for the Conservation Assessment Program.  This will be used to fund a two-day visit by a conservation professional who will provide an overall assessment of the grantee’s conservation efforts.
