Is Your Faith-Based Organization Ready to Partner with Government?

The USA Freedom Corps has identified the following areas of need to be addressed: youth achievement, parks and open spaces, healthy communities, and homeland security.

AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that engage more than 50,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

The Citizen Corps mission is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.

"I believe one of the most effective ways government can help those in need is to help charities, faith-based organizations and community groups that are working every day to transform lives with acts of compassion. Government must stand with them and be on their side as they reach out to hurting neighbors in desperate need of our help.”
- Governor Bob Riley

"The people of Alabama have a lot of needs but we are blessed because our state is rich in natural resources like compassion, decency, and love. When government partners with faith and community based groups we can mentor more children, restore more families and change more lives."
- First Lady Patsy Riley
