Disaster Management Interoperability Services (DMIS) is a part of the President's Disaster Management Electronic Government Initiative
Introduction to DMIS Briefing

DMIS Provides:
  • Data sharing among software products supporting incident response
    • Government and commercial products may develop an Automated Program Interface to the DMIS Interoperability Backbone
    • Register to develop an API at DMIS Registration Center
  • A basic set of software tools for use at operations centers during incident response
    • To establish a DMIS operating group and receive DMIS Tools, apply at DMIS Registration Center
    • NOTE: You must be a local, state, tribal, or national government representative in the United States or Canada and serving the Emergency Management community in order to qualify for a DMIS Collaborative Operating Group (COG). The DMIS Registration Center is to establish an operating group, not individuals' accounts
