Washington D.C., October 3, 2005 - Congressman Mike Bilirakis (R-FL) and Representatives Bill Young, Adam Putnam, Jim Davis, Katherine Harris and Ginny Brown-Waite will be hosting an Emergency Response Management Forum. The Congressional Delegation will be joined by Governor Bush, Florida Emergency Management Director Craig Fugate, and Scott Morris, the top Florida official for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The purpose of the forum is to bring together regional, state and federal emergency response management officials to discuss disaster preparedness. Part of the meeting will focus on what lessons emergency managers can draw from the storms that hit Florida last year as well as Hurricane Katrina.
