Veterans to receive annual cost-of-living adjustment
S. 2562, as amended, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost- of-Living Adjustment Act of 2006
(October 19, 2006) Washington, D.C. - On October 16, 2006, President Bush signed into law S. 2562, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2006. S. 2562 passed the House on September 30, 2006.

S. 2562, as amended, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost- of-Living Adjustment Act of 2006
(October 3, 2006) Washington, D.C. - The House passed S. 2562, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2006. S. 2562 will provide, effective December 1, 2006, a cost-of-living adjustment to the rates of disability compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation paid to certain spouses and dependent children of service-disabled veterans.
Subcommittee on Health reviews latest trends and treatment for mental healthcare

At a Subcommittee on Health oversight hearing today on research, treatments and effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), Chairman Henry Brown (R-S.C) and subcommittee members expressed concern that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) had not spent all of the mental health care dollars appropriated for it in Fiscal Year 2005.
