It is a great honor to serve as Chairman of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures. As the committee’s chief subcommittee on tax policy, we have a historic opportunity to answer President Bush’s call to reform the American tax code. Simply put, too many families and businesses are paying too many lawyers and too many accountants to file too many forms and pay too many taxes.
