  Terry Announces Medicare Part D District Enrollment Sessions  
  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  
  OMAHA, NE – Representative Lee Terry (NE-02) today, in conjunction with Volunteers Intervening for Equity (VIE), announced enrollment sessions to assist seniors with the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug program’s upcoming open enrollment period. Open enrollment for Part D starts November 15, 2006 and runs through December 31, 2006, taking effect on January 1, 2007.

"I am grateful this came to light for the benefit of the country so that this man will not serve in the U.S. Congress. His actions were unbelievably disgraceful and he should be immediately investigated and fully charged and prosecuted for any crimes committed. His actions were despicable and I sincerely hope this man receives immediate professional help. This man violated all levels of trust and he does not represent the values of the United States, the U.S. Congress, the Republican caucus, and certainly not Nebraska."

  Terry Announces Byrne-JAG Grant Money Coming to the District to Fight Meth  
  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  
  OMAHA, NE – Representative Lee Terry (NE-02) today announced that law enforcement agents in Omaha and Douglas County would receive $422,938 through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (Byrne-JAG) program. The Byrne-JAG program provides vital federal support for drug and gang task forces nationwide, which are used primarily to combat methamphetamines in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District.

  Terry & Kennedy Lead Bipartisan Effort for Increased Funding to Fight Meth

  WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representatives Lee Terry (R-NE) and Mark Kennedy (R-MN) today sent a strong message to U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, urging him to provide robust funding to the Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (Byrne-JAG) program in the administration’s FY08 budget proposal. Eighty-three Members of Congress signed the bipartisan letter.
