Welcome to the website for the 18th Congressional District of Texas. Here you will find information regarding current issues, legislation, and events of interest to residents of the 18th Congressional District.

I want you to know that as your Member of Congress, I have been working to bring FEMA funds for Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees and to provide affordable, low-income housing and home repairs for district residents. 

As Chair of the Congressional Children's Caucus I have worked to ensure the well being of children here in America and around the world. As a senior member of the Homeland Security Committee I have worked to ensure the safety and security of our nation. In my role as the Ranking Member on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims, I have worked to improve and reform our immigration policy.

We will continue all of this work on behalf of you because it is my sworn duty and responsibility as a Member of Congress. It is my honor to represent you in the Congress of the United States and please know that advancing your principles and interests is my highest priority.
