Congressman Dent plans for hydrogen power
U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent (PA-15), a
founding co-chairman of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus, has
unveiled his vision for developing Hydrogen Highway East along
Interstate 78 from the Lehigh Valley to New York City. The idea, based
on a similar plan by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, calls for
the development of the technology and infrastructure to support
hydrogen-powered vehicles in the near future.

intelligence for foiling Al Qaeda plans

Rep. Charlie Dent (PA-15), a member of the House Homeland Security
Committee, today commented on the sentencing in London of an Al Qaeda
operative who planned to blow up buildings in Great Britain and the
United States. A British judge sentenced Dhiren Barot to at least 40
years in prison for his plot to blow up the New York Stock Exchange, the
World Bank and landmark London hotels:

Separation of powers is not sanctuary from the law
Some of my colleagues have expressed concern about the FBI’s executing a search warrant in the Congressional offices of Representative William J. Jefferson (D-LA) on May 20, 2006. With due respect to the Speaker of the House and the Minority Leader, who have jointly expressed their dismay over the search, I do not share their belief that this rises to a Constitutional concern over separation of powers.
