Peterson Sponsoring Manufacturers’ Meetings in Moorhead and Montevideo

(WASHINGTON, DC) - U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson (D-7th Dist.) will sponsor upcoming meetings in Moorhead and Montevideo to inform manufacturers about resources available to assist in exporting foods, agricultural commodities, and manufactured goods and services.

The Moorhead meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, at the City Council Chambers at the Moorhead Center Mall. The Montevideo meeting will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 8, at the Chippewa County Courthouse assembly room.

“Many manufacturers in our region have taken a hit in recent years,” Peterson said. “These meetings will shed some light on what kind of assistance might be available to help improve our competitiveness in this part of the economy.”

Representatives from the Mid-America International Agri-Trade Council (MIATCO), the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), the U.S. Commercial Service, and the Minnesota Trade Office will be on hand to explain their programs. These representatives will also be available to meet with attendees following the meeting.
