U.S. Representative Jim Ryun (R-KS) made the following statement regarding the terror plot which was foiled today by British authorities:
"Today, our country once again saw the reality of the war on terror. An imminent terror plot aimed at airliners destined for the United States was thwarted by our British allies early this morning."

Today, I salute them for their successful work with the British in this particular episode, as well as for their unwavering commitment to the safety of our country."
