Obtaining Government Documents
Over the past two years, more and more federal documents
have become available on the Internet, either through the Government
Printing Office, directly from the federal agencies themselves,
or through the Library of Congress' new Thomas Web
server. If you can't find what you need online,
however, you should be able to obtain it through one of the
following resources.
House of Representatives Document Room
- Provides many congressional documents, including copies
of bills, concurrent and joint resolutions.
- Free of charge
- To obtain materials, call 202-225-3456 or e-mail the Document
Room at Hdocs@mail.house.gov.
Government Printing Office
- Provides government documents and many non-congressional
materials, including laws, reports from most federal agencies
and departments, copies of the Congressional Record.
- Fees apply on every order.
