Job Summary

The Client Services Directorate (CS) of House Information Resources ( HIR ), Chief Administrative Office, is seeking a System Support Engineer to serve in the CAO Technology Call Center as key technical resource for solving microcomputer hardware and software, network connectivity, e-mail and anti-virus issues.  Duties include Providing House members and their staff 24x7 Call Center technical expertises in the areas of networks connectivity, HIR products, advanced microcomputer application software, anti-virus and messaging client software.  This is a night shift position and requires weekend duty for 24x7 coverage. 

 

Requirements:

Candidates should possess: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and possess demonstrated Customer Service Skills along with advanced technical skills and the ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems.  Knowledge and ability to perform any and all tasks associated with the Remedy Tracking System.  Knowledge of application software, desktop and file server operating systems and data communication protocols, especially TCP/IP, messaging clients, anti-virus software, and Web browser applications.     Must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management.
