Job Summary

The Office of House information Resources, Network Engineering and Configuration Branch, Chief Administrative Office, is seeking a qualified network administrator. Successful candidate should have extensive experience with standards-based Local Area Network (LAN) and Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) networking components such as routers, switches, access servers, modems, and network management troubleshooting and monitoring tools and network protocols.  Knowledge of LAN/MAN Cisco based network technologies required; hands-on experience with configuration, installation, maintenance of networking components such as routers, switches, access servers required; experience with network management troubleshooting and monitoring tools and network and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, IEEE 802.x Ethernet, IPSec) required; experience with Cisco IOS and Catalyst OS preferred.  Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are desired.

Requirements:

Candidate should possess demonstrated experience with Cisco based network equipment.  Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and at least three years experience with managing Cisco based network components.
