WASHINGTON D.C. - On Thursday, the Blue Dog Coalition exposed a little known administration budget document and again called for more honesty and accountability from the administration on the budget.  The Blue Dogs touted an unpublicized Department of the Treasury document that – using the same tried and true accounting methods required by every business in America – casts new light on the severity of our nation’s fiscal mess.

Blue Dogs Want GAO Study on Justice Dept. Procedures (12/15/2005)

WASHINGTON D.C.- The Government Accountability Office should investigate whether the Department of Justice followed proper procedures in approving a Texas redistricting plan that the department’s own attorneys said violated the Voting Rights Act, according to the Blue Dog Coalition. 

Blue Dogs Push for Adoption of McCain Anti-Torture Measure (11/18/2005)

WASHINGTON D.C.- The Blue Dog Coalition has endorsed the Interrogation Procedures Act of 2005, H.R. 3985, authored by Blue Dog Rep. Jane Harman (CA).  Additionally, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA) authored a Blue Dog letter urging the inclusion of the McCain anti-torture amendment in the FY2006 Defense Department Appropriations conference report.
