(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor along
with U.S. Representative Mike Ross (AR-4) Wednesday announced Rich Mountain
Community College will receive $364,546 from the U.S. Department of Education’s
Strengthening Institutions Program over a five year period.
The Strengthening Institutions Program was established to aid in the
improvement of student success through appropriate developmental education
and assessment while ensuring the fiscal stability of the college through
awarded funds. The grant is intended to strengthen the college by
increasing retention and revenue, providing developmental education specialists
for students, and improving the instructional practices of the faculty. |
