(Washington, D.C.) Fourth District Rep. Mike Ross (D, AR) Friday announced
Little Rock native Madra McAdoo has been selected to serve as an intern
during the second summer session in Ross’s Washington D.C. office. McAdoo
is currently assisting constituents and staff members on various projects,
as well as attending seminars and workshops on leadership and government.
“Our office internships are designed to familiarize students with
the inner-workings of the federal government while teaching the importance
of public service. Congressional internships provide once in a lifetime
opportunities for students to immerse themselves in all aspects of the
legislative process, and I am confident this experience will be rewarding.
Madra joins a very bright and talented group of interns this summer, and
I am proud to have her on our team.”
McAdoo is a senior legal communications major at Howard University.
The daughter of Rev. C.E. and Gloria, she is a member of the Sigma Gamma
Rho sorority, where she serves as Vice President, and is the Secretary
of the National Pan-Hellenic Council Howard Chapter.
Information on Congressman Ross’s internship program is available at
www.house.gov/ross or by calling (800) 223-2220.
