Lincoln, Pryor, Berry, Ross Announce 2nd Round of FEMA Fire Grants  
 
(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, along with U.S. Representatives Marion Berry and Mike Ross, announced Thursday fire departments in the First and Fourth Congressional Districts have been included in the 2nd round of grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 2004 Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program.  This program provides support to fire departments by providing the tools and resources necessary to ensure both the safety of department personnel and the general public.  

The grants awarded are part of the Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety Program, which includes training, wellness and fitness, firefighting equipment, personal protective equipment, and modifications to fire stations and facilities.  

The following fire department in the First Congressional District has been awarded a grant for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety: 

·        Cotter -- $21,406 

The following fire department in the Fourth Congressional District has been awarded grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety: 

·        Driggs- $31,909
·        Shady - $9,000
