(PRESCOTT, AR) Fourth District Congressman Mike Ross (D-AR) on Friday
announced the promotions of Arkadelphia natives Beau Bishop and Erin Turner
Hogue.
Bishop has been promoted to Special Projects Coordinator. He has
worked for Ross since January 2004, previously serving as staff assistant.
Bishop’s new responsibilities include legislative correspondent, grants,
and systems administration. After graduating in 2001 from Ouachita
Baptist University with a degree in Professional Accounting, Bishop worked
for Alliance Insurance Group in Arkadelphia for three years.
Hogue joined the staff in March 2005 as a staff assistant, and was quickly
promoted to the post of Executive Assistant/Scheduler. Hogue graduated
in 2004 from Ouachita Baptist University with a dual degree in Political
Science and History, and is currently enrolled at George Washington University,
pursing a Master’s Degree in Legislative Affairs.
“I am delighted that both Beau and Erin have taken on new roles and
responsibilities in the Washington, D.C. Congressional Office,” said Ross.
“They are both extremely bright and talented individuals, and help bring
part of the Fourth Congressional District to Washington, D.C. My
grandfather only had a third grade education, but he taught me that you
are only as good as the people with whom you surround yourself.
I feel that Beau and Erin are experienced and dedicated, ready to put people
first and will work hard for the citizens of the Fourth District.”
Congressman Ross's Washington, D.C., office is located at 314 Cannon
House Office Building. His staff can be reached by telephone at (202) 225-3772
