Arkansas Officials Announce $600,000 for Warren Industrial Park

(Washington, D.C.) A $600,000 grant has been awarded to the city of Warren to fund the construction of a wastewater treatment facility at the Warren Industrial Park, members of the Arkansas Congressional Delegation announced today.

“Since I first took office I pledged to be an economic Ambassador for the Fourth District, and I’m proud to have brought Pedro Garza of the Economic Development Administration to Warren to get a first-hand look at why this project was so important,” U.S. Rep. Ross said.   “Securing this significant federal investment will strengthen the infrastructure of the Warren Industrial Park, and it’s an example of how government and the private sector can come together to work for the best economic interests of a region.  This important funding will not only protect hundreds of jobs that are vital to Bradley County, but it will create exciting new economic growth opportunities by generating up to 100 new jobs.”

“Federal dollars are vital to stimulating growth and financial possibilities to our rural communities,” U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln said.  “This grant will bring tremendous economic opportunities to the people of Warren by creating an abundance of new jobs while funding the construction of a much-needed facility.”

“Construction of the Warren Industrial Park wastewater treatment facility will play a vital role in retaining existing industries while also attracting new businesses to the area,” Sen. Pryor said.  “In addition, by ensuring this excess run-off water is treated, it will protect public health and the environment.”

The funding, which is provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration, will fund the construction of a wastewater treatment facility in the Warren Industrial Park.  The funding will protect 383 jobs already in existence at the park, could create up to 100 new jobs, and generate more than $600,000 in private investment.
