Local Student, Emily Taynor, Honored at

Military Appointee Breakfast

(Washington, D.C.) Rep. Mike Ross (AR-04) recognized military appointee Emily Taynor of Camden, at a military academy appointee breakfast on Monday in Hot Springs.  Ross hosted the military academy breakfast to honor students who have been appointed to one of the United States Military Academies.

Taynor, a graduate of Camden Christian Academy, is the daughter of Robert and Charlene and was recognized for her appointment to the United States Naval Academy.

“I am honored to recognize Emily Taynor’s appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy and I commend her on her hard work, which has earned her this distinguished achievement,” Ross said.  The admissions process for our service academies is highly competitive.  Our academies seek not only those in peak physical condition, but also those who display natural leadership, high moral character, and a commitment to academics.  Emily clearly represents all of these characteristics, and I congratulate her and wish her all the best as she enters academy life.”
