Local Student, Zachary Scott, Honored at Military Appointee Breakfast

(Washington, D.C.) Rep. Mike Ross (AR-04) recognized military appointee Zachary Scott of Pine Bluff, at a military academy appointee breakfast on Monday in Hot Springs.  Ross hosted a military academy breakfast to honor students who received his nomination and have been appointed to one of the United States Military Academies.

Scott is the son of Lt. Col. Casey and Marie Scott and was recognized for his appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.  Scott’s father, Lt. Col. Casey, is currently assigned to the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

“I am honored to nominate Zachary Scott to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and I commend him on his hard work, which has earned him this distinguished achievement,” Ross said.  The admissions process for our service academies is highly competitive.  Our academies seek not only those in peak physical condition, but also those who display natural leadership, high moral character, and a commitment to academics.  Zachary clearly represents all of these characteristics, and I congratulate him and wish him all the best as he enters academy life.”
