Feeney Hails a Victory in War on Terror with Death of
Al-Zarqawi
War in Iraq is Unmistakably Part of the War on Terror |

(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) today released the following statement following the death of Al-Zarqawi:
"Liberals who believe the War in Iraq is not part of the War on Terror must think Al-Zarqawi was a friendly local businessman. Today's announcement of Zarqawi's confirmed death is a significant victory for our Global War on Terror. Our nation and world are safer today without the "Prince of al-Qaeda" roaming the streets and polluting vulnerable minds.
"I applaud our men and women in the armed forces who fight each day to bring terrorists like Zarqawi to justice. Those heroes serving in our military deserve praise for their commitment to the Global War on Terror and for a successful operation to eliminate this terrorist thug," said Feeney. |
