Committee on Resources
Millions of visitors come to South Carolina each year to sample the treasures we share daily. From the Lowcountry and the beaches to the Midlands and the Upstate mountains, all interwoven with our rich cultural history, we have so much to enjoy and so much to preserve.
The House Resources Committee, of which I am a member, has oversight for our federal lands and natural resources. This includes the vast holdings of forests, wetlands and the National Park System.
We have a responsibility to protect our fragile environment from the demands of increased use, development and expansion. Through careful stewardship, the Palmetto State will continue to be a welcomed home for both our families and visitors.
