Fall 2000 - I am working
on the over 300 pictures I have yet to review. I should have an
update soon. Please check back!
Welcome to
my Antarctica trip web page. On Thursday, February 3, I set off
for Antarctica with the Commandant of the Coast Guard, Admiral James
Loy. It will take Admiral Loy and me four days to reach McMurdo
Station in Antarctica, the Coast Guard's home base on this icy continent.
I hope you
will enjoy this adventure with me by reading my daily journals and
viewing my photos. In this way, you can come along with me and learn
about the Coast Guard's activity in Antarctica, the communities
it serves, and a little bit about this remote seventh continent.
My journal
began on Sunday, February 6. So take a look!
Sincerely,
Peter DeFazio
