Congressman Gerlach and Speaker Hastert presenting funding to Trappe (June 27)
Trappe -- Congressman Jim Gerlach and Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert were in Trappe to present the organization, Save the Speakers House LLC, with $300,000 allocated in the FY '05 Omnibus Appropriations bill. The group will be using the money to preserve and restore the home of the first Speaker of the House.
