Rep. Gerlach talks about his marriage tax penalty relief legislation (April 28)
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Jim Gerlach addresses a crowd about his tax bill -- H.R. 4181 -- that would eliminate permanently several marriage penalties from the tax code. Rep. Gerlach's bill, which passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday, would help more than 27 million married couples save more than $300 on their tax bills starting in 2005.
