6th District soldier receives Purple Heart (July 24)
VALLEY FORGE -- Congressman Jim Gerlach poses with Specialist Michael Lark after awarding the Phoenixville resident with the Purple Heart during a ceremony at the Freedoms Foudnation in Valley Forge. Lark serves full-time with the 1067 Transportation Battalion of Phoenixville and was injured while in Iraq. Lark graduated from the Spring-Ford Area School District.
