Congressman Gerlach Hosts Town Hall Meeting (April 2005)

 

Washington, Jul 1, 2005 - Rep. Jim Gerlach will moderate two town hall meetings during Congress' July 4th District Work Period to discuss possible solutions to high gasoline prices.

The hearings will feature speakers from the U.S. Department of Energy who will present information on the history of gasoline prices and the factors that affect those prices. An official from the National Energy Technology Laboratory will be on hand to talk about the new technologies that could help the United States rely less on foreign sources of oil and natural gas. Each event will also include an audience question and answer session.

FROM READING:
Take Route 422 Bypass East to the Route 100/Pottstown Pike SOUTH Exit. Follow Route 100/Pottstown Pike south. Turn left Ridge Road/Route 23. The school is located at 981 Ridge Pike.

FROM THE PA TURNPIKE:
Exit at Downington #23 (313). Follow Route 100/Pottstown Pike NORTH. Make a right onto Ridge Road/Route 23. The high school is located at 981 Ridge Pike.



DIRECTIONS TO URSINUS COLLEGE



FROM THE PA TURNPIKE:
Exit at Valley Forge #24 (326). Just beyond the tollgates, take the exit to 422 West/Pottstown. Travel approximately eight miles to the Route 29/Collegeville exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right onto Route 29 North. Proceed three miles to the traffic light by McDonald’s. Turn left on Main Street. The campus is approximately one-half mile up the hill on the right. The Admissions Office is located in first floor of Corson Hall, which is the second building on your right.

FROM PHILADELPHIA:
Via 76 (the Schuylkill Expressway), take Exit 328A to Route 422 West/Pottstown, just before the Pennsylvania Turnpike tollgates. Travel eight miles to the Route 29/Collegeville exit. Follow bolded directions above.

FROM READING:
Take Route 422 Bypass East to Collegeville exit. Turn left onto Route 29 North and proceed three miles to the traffic light by McDonald’s. Follow bolded directions above.

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY:
Take Route 202 South. About 40 minutes after crossing the PA border, you will cross Route 63 and come to Route 73 West. Turn right and proceed until you reach the intersection of Route 73 and 363. Turn left on Route 363 South. Proceed to Germantown Pike and turn right onto Germantown Pike. Proceed for several miles until you come to the Perkiomen Bridge. Cross over the bridge (stay in the inside lane) and follow signs to the left for Main Street. Proceed approximately one-half mile up the hill; the campus is situated on the right.

(OR Take the New Jersey Turnpike to the PA Turnpike and proceed from there. Another alternative is 78 west to Rt 309 south. Follow 309 to 663 in Quakertown, and turn right. Follow approximately 10 miles to Pennsburg. Turn left on Rt 29, and proceed south 30 minutes to Collegeville. Turn right on Main Street and proceed one-half mile up the hill.)

FROM DELAWARE and SOUTHERN STATES:
In Delaware take Route 202 North to the exit marked Route 422 West/Pottstown. Travel approximately eight miles to the Route 29/Collegeville exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right on Route 29 North. Follow bolded directions above.

FROM N.E. EXTENSION:
Exit at Lansdale exit 31 and turn right on Route 63 to Route 113. Turn left on Route 113 South approximately 10 miles. Make a left onto Route 29 South (Amoco gas station across the street). Follow approximately 2 miles. At the stop light in Collegeville turn right on Main Street and proceed through the traffic light at the McDonald’s. The campus is approximately one-half mile up the hill on the right.

Parking is available in the lot next to Corson Hall.
