This site has been recast from the relevant pages of the first generation DeFazio web site (one of the first congressional web sites to occupy a tiny corner of cyberspace), and incorporates updated materials and added functions.

This site is best viewed on Internet Explorer 5.0+ and (for the most part) on Netscape Navigator 4.5+.

The pages are generated from an Access database and with the aid of magical Perl scripts. This site makes extensive use of cascading style sheets.

If people ever tell you that they put a web site together all by themselves—don't believe them. (Or at least try to call their bluff.)

This web site—ever a work in progress—is a group effort.

Inspiration for this remake lies in the design and technical innnovations of Joel Burton at the Support Center of Washington and the extraordinary work of Evan Parker in Rep. Bernie Sanders' office.

The principle of WWJD (What Would Jakob Do) has been applied (at most steps) throughout this redesign process. Dr. Jakob Nielsen's book "Designing Web Useability" and his own site are the bees-knees.

Thanks to our interns, Mike, Allison, Andrew, Scott and Noah.

Special thanks to Spencer and Slim, Krispy and Bobisa, T-Ray, PLL, Aaron and Nat for their help and counsel throughout this redesign process; Benjamin's mommy and Sydney's mommy, PW, JE, JK, BB, and Nickel Plymouth provided valuable feedback. The attention and interest of Rep. Peter DeFazio in this process has encouraged all of us. I trust it will continue thus.
