WASHINGTON, DC U.S. Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Missouri River decision:

"We’re sorting through details, but on first glance, it appears that they fell far short of providing the downstream citizens with the one thing they really needed, which is reliability. I have grave concerns about the ignored impacts on real people who rely on flood control, energy production, transportation, and water supply in the lower states."
