January 30, 2006 THE STATE OF OUR UNION FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS UNDER GEORGE W. BUSHA Special Senate Democratic Report
The priorities of the current Republican controlled Congress and the White House fail to include policies that would increase opportunities for African American families to advance. It is imperative that access to social, economic, and educational resources for African Americans continue to be protected from a Republican agenda that threatens to turn back the clock. The State of Black America has lost ground under the current President and Republican majority. America can do better by adopting a real agenda that supports and empowers African Americans in overcoming the growing economic disparities that exist under the current Republican agenda.
