Reid on Robertson
The following is a statement by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid on Rev. Pat Robertson’s insensitive and insulting comments about Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon:
“Yet again, Pat Robertson has made a completely outrageous, insulting and inappropriate comment. Prime Minister Sharon is fighting for his life. He and his family deserve our thoughts and prayers, and I hope Mr. Robertson will offer them after he apologizes."

The Senate will convene at 2:00 p.m. and will be in a period of morning business with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each.
The Senate may proceed to consideration of H.R. 5385, the Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act during Monday's session.
