Reid: We Will Stand With You As Rita Strikes

Washington, DC – Democratic Leader Harry Reid released the following statement as Hurricane Rita moves across the Gulf of Mexico:

“The thoughts and prayers of all Americans are with the entire Gulf Coast as Hurricane Rita moves towards landfall. All those in Rita’s path should heed the warnings of the federal, state and local officials on the ground and move to safety. As we have for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, I want all those who may be affected to know that we will do everything we can to assist you as you prepare and respond to Hurricane Rita.”
