of Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court

Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) today released the following statement on the
nomination of White House counsel Harriet Miers to replace Justice
Sandra Day O’Connor on the United States Supreme Court:
“Harriet Miers is clearly
a trusted White House counsel. Her nomination presents a largely
unknown quantity to the Senate for confirmation. I look forward
to working with my colleagues to find out more about her record
and her beliefs about the law.”
