Portland, OR – Congress will recess for
the week of May 26-30 to honor the nation’s fallen veterans;
on Memorial Day, U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) will pay his respects
at ceremonies in Portland.
During the remainder of the May recess, Wyden
will focus on efforts to restore Oregon’s economy, beginning
May 27 at an Economic Summit Update meeting that will follow-up
on last December’s Leadership Summit of business and elected
leaders. He will continue on Thursday, May 29 when he addresses
the Eugene City Club in a speech titled, "Restoring Oregon's
Economy: A Discussion of the Federal Government's Role in Difficult
Economic Times" and on Friday, May 30 when he speaks to the
Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs.
