Republicans in Congress have been working hard for an April 15th that blends into the calendar page - a day that Americans take in stride, breathing easy with the promise of more income and higher returns to save for their children's college tuition, repair a leaky roof, or plan a summer vacation. Americans have been asking for more of the money they earn, less intrusion from Uncle Sam, and more financial freedom.
And Republicans in Congress have answered this call.
After three rounds of common-sense, across-the-board tax cuts, Americans are finally dropping their 1040s in the mail with a little more ease and a little less dread. Federal tax day is becoming a typical Thursday, and we welcome when April 15th comes and goes without notice.
