As I walk through the halls of Congress, or stroll home after a challenging day on the Senate floor, or even drive past the monuments on my way through downtown, I continue to be awe-struck by the grandeur that is our Capital City. To know that great men and women of history, even our Founders, have walked these same halls, strolled these same avenues and driven these same streets sometimes overwhelms me.
I would encourage every American to visit Washington, DC at least once during his or her life. As your Senator, I can assist you in making arrangements for your visit. Many historic sites have special congressional tours which offer a great deal more insight than the general public tours. With enough advance notice of your visit, I may be able to obtain tickets to places like the Supreme Court or the National Archives for you. I would also enjoy the opportunity of showing you around where I work each day: The United States Capitol Building.
If you are in the initial planning stages for your trip, you may request general information about Washington, DC. If you need information more quickly, you may prefer to use the Links & Resources section or visit one of my Idaho offices to pick up brochures in person. If you have questions or would prefer to discuss what options are available, please visit or contact a member of my staff in the regional office nearest you. Once your travel plans are finalized, submit your Tour Request on this website or contact my tour co-ordinator directly by calling my Washington, DC, office at 202/224-2752.
