I spend time each summer working in different jobs
throughout the 12th District in a program I call "Trading Places." I
work alongside constituents in different work settings, businesses and
locations.
Working alongside my constituents provides an
excellent first-hand opportunity for me to hear their concerns and
experience their perspectives and to understand their needs and how I
can serve them better in Washington. It also gives me an appreciation
of the businesses and diversity in my district.
