November 7 Firm signs on to build on Y-12 idea
A unique "hospital-in-a-box'' created at the Y-12 National Security Complex will be manufactured by a company based in Richmond, Va., officials announced Monday. Mega-Tech Services Inc. signed the licensing pact with Y-12 officials Monday. Rep. Zach Wamp secured a federal appropriation in 2000 for Y-12 to design the system, officials said.

October 31- 400 attendees expected for ETEBA conference
A conference running today through Thursday at the Knoxville Marriott will help companies find business opportunities with governmental agencies. About 400 attendees from the U.S. and United Kingdom are expected to participate in the Energy, Technology and Environmental Business Association's 7th annual Business Opportunities Conference. Speakers include Rep. Zach Wamp.

October 26 Wamp not ‘giving up’ on GOP control
Rep. Zach Wamp said he is not preparing for any potential leadership change. “You prepare to win,” Wamp said at a lunch at Tech 2020 in Oak Ridge. “I’m not giving up.” Also Wednesday, Wamp disagreed with critics of a new terrorism law who say a provision to strip habeas corpus rights is likely unconstitutional. “I wouldn’t have voted for it if I thought it was unconstitutional,” said Wamp, whose district includes Oak Ridge.

October 27 Lupton City Residents To Get Free Mail Boxes
Lupton City residents were told on Thursday that free mailboxes will soon be installed at each home, but their street addresses will change. Officials said the city will begin installing mail boxes within the next few days. Dan Johnson, Chief of Staff in the mayor's office, said the mail boxes were paid for by the United States Postal Service, R.L. Stowe Mills, and Rep. Zach Wamp.

November 1- Sewer projects high on legislative agenda
Construction money for sewers in Blaine and Bean Station are a top priority Rep. Zach Wamp told local leaders during his visit to Grainger County. “We’ve got to get sewers to each end of the county. The north end is near the water. The south end is near Knoxville. Both places have a real asset,” Wamp said in an interview with Grainger Today. Sewers in Grainger County and Union County will be my top priority for STAG (State Tribal Assistance Grants).
