My work as your Congressman includes several distinct responsibilities. The first is as a legislator. This requires many hours of research and debate to support, write and pass laws that make our nation better and more secure. Work on legislation is done in my Washington, D.C., office. Please feel free to write or call me there with your views on issues Congress is facing. Additionally, my Washington office handles my D.C. schedule, issues press releases, processes flag requests and can provide information on tours while you're visiting D.C.

I am also here to help when you are having difficulties with federal agencies. I have two district offices to serve you. If you need my assistance, please fill out a release form and send it to my district office nearest you. You can also write my district office a detailed letter explaining your current situation, including your name, address, phone number and Social Security number, or call my office for further details. My Chattanooga District Office also takes care of my district scheduling.

The Chattanooga office covers the following counties: Hamilton, Bradley, Polk, Meigs, and Rhea. A representative from my office comes to each of these counties every month to assist you with your casework needs. If you would like to meet with my representative, give my district office a call to confirm the date and time of the monthly visit.

The Oak Ridge office covers the following counties: Anderson, Roane, Union, Claiborne, Grainger, and Jefferson. This office handles many complex issues related to the Department of Energy facilities in Oak Ridge. Our staff also assists local residents on casework problems with federal agencies and handles all academy nominations.
