Washington, D.C. - Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) has announced the names of the students from the Eighth Congressional District who have accepted appointments to the U.S. Service Academies.
Van Hollen announced that the application process for high school students seeking nominations for the entering class of 2007 has begun. Students wishing to attend one of the Uniformed Service Academies during the 2007-2008 school year should visit the Congressman’s website at
www.house.gov/vanhollen to obtain an application packet. All applications and supporting materials are due in Rockville by October 20, 2006.
